Bookshelf Revamped

So I had this bookshelf that a friend gave me.
Which was so nice because I had been looking for one just this size for my daughters books.
After hours of jumping for joy I realized that the bookshelf really didn't match the rest of her room.
So I revamped it with some bead board and Almond gloss Valspar spray paint.

Attaching the bead board was a cinch. I took the thin lining off the back, cut the bead board to size with a hand saw, and nailed in to the back. Then I cut out a piece to frame the top. And sprayed it down 3x with paint out on the grass.

What do you think?

I LOVE how it turned out and the fact that it was a really cheap.
Gosh her closet is so full.
Have I done my spring cleaning yet?
I knew I forgot something.
whoops!

Hope to see you around.

  1. I've wanted to use beadboard but have never done it. I need to follow your lead and just do it. Good job, it looks great!!!
